I've been playing 100 Rogues since the Scoundrel was introduced and I've continued to love and play it despite, during those semi-early days, major crash bugs- slow down- etc. The game is so good that the frustration associated with those bugs was a small price to play for a greatly well thought out game. Hell, those bugs were almost like another dimension to the strategy. Not to worry reader, this opening paragraph isn't the beginning of a thread to gripe about stability- nosiree! I've had some thoughts about items and abilities which I'd love to see implemented some day.

 

1st, an ability: The Rogue-bot is a great monster class. It seems its' had one thing missing though – an ability to shoot arrows. Surely the rocket & grenade launcher could be tinkered with to allow for arrows to be fired. A possible name for the ability could be "Voided Warranty", or something far more clever. Maybe the suggested ability could replace the ability to turn blood into sweet sweet life sustaining oil because by the time one could properly allocate a skill point to that skill few enemies are bleeding anymore- nearly making the skill useless.

 

2nd, an item effect: I've used the Staff of Teleport maybe two times in the time I've played finding its effect to be too unpredictable. I've been throwing it hoping it would have some great secondary effect akin to the mana potion, whereby in this case it would cause the struck enemy to be sucked into a warp vortex; wisked away to another part of the level to be dealt with later. However, I've found it just misses every time it's thrown having no affect damage or otherwise. If that additional effect could be made that'd be awesome. Maybe- for balance- make the effect null towards the mini satan's in Hell level 3.

 

3rd, items: Would love to see the following,

-An upgrade scroll for shields.

-The "Skill Book" found in Combo Mode to be available in the normal game. This wish is probably a longshot.

-More scrolls available in Combo mode which can be ported over to the main game – maybe any of the ones already in the game or, I just thought of it now, certain special scrolls that could add various abilities to weapons (maybe at the cost of a little damage reduction for the particular weapon for sake of balance- sorta like how the dagger which sucks mana from an enemy already is) or armor like "Beetle", "Vampire", "Slowing", "Magic", "Strength", "Life", "Accuracy", "Poison", "Mana" (either additional mana points or the ability to suck them out of certain creatures), etc. These special scrolls would only be availlable by racking up a score in Combo Mode of course.

 

4th, a minor monster class adjustment: More health for the Necromeister or faster health regeneration. I understand it's supposed to be this sickly decrepid figure that has sacrificed health for power but… the class doesn't last terribly long under my control and I'd like to use those abilities one day.

Hmmm they haven't said what their going to be working on in a long time… I wonder what the dev's are up to now
