I don't know if this is a technical issue, per se, but have some aspects of the difficulty been ramped up in the latest version? I've been playing this game for a while, but this week I've noticed these two changes in the "Normal" level happening pretty consistently:
1. A rat bite will now nearly always poison you, regardless of armor and other attributes.
2. A blue knight now has a much higher chance of stunning you. I've now had three games in a row where I watched helplesslly as my reasonably well-armored, full-health crusader got savagely beaten to death by stun hit after stun hit after stun hit, giving me no chance to counterattack, run, or potion up.
I know (or at least suspect) that both of these are governed by some kind of random probability, but in several games in a row, I've noticed both of these happening often, and I think the chances of runs like this over and over again should be pretty low unless the probabilities for both events have been ramped up significantly. Great game, but these are kind of a fun killer .
