Does anyone want to share how they use "exotic" weapons? For me they deal so little damage they are not worth it. In the turn it takes to change weapons the damage taken is not worth the trouble.
I am thinking of the butter knife and brass knuckles which I find disappointingly useless. Perhaps someone could enlighten me?
And what is up with weapons with wimpy +1 or +2 HP/EP brands? I never use those either. Useless. I don't think changing the mean total HP/EP branding to a range of +3 to +5 would imbalance the game.

Hmm, good points. We'll do something about these for the next patch, although some of the exotic weapons are *very* powerful as is right now.

Not neccessarily! I was not complaining about exotic weapons, I just wanted to know how other players might use them. For example, the butter knife could be very handy to a Crusader with no magic attacks. In some cases it would be worth taking the one turn of damage. If the butter knife never "broke" it would be even more valuable as a thrown weapon.
I do stand, however, by what I said about HP/EP(only) branded weapons. I have played a hundred games but never chosen to use one.

kind of an old topic… whatever. With the addition of the locker, exotic weapons (brass knuckles in particular) have become incredibly useful (overpowered?). Since enchant weapon scroll applies a +1 max/min damage regardless of the type, something I have done is to save all my enchant weapon scrolls until the guaranteed locker at dungeon 4, (or earlier if I get a locker) and stack them on a pair of brass knuckles. Consistent 15 damage with a stun that is almost as consistent? i think yes.
not: this is time consuming, but the time cost can be substantially mitigated by just ending the game (hitting main menu) before the pope fight, unless you believe you can win.
