Okay! I have a griffin slayer, a bunch of roast food, no healing potions, some chain mail, one staff of holy fires and a ton of gingerbread heads. 

 

My Paladin has the magic knife thingy, the improve-skills-with-weapons skills (and the griffin slayer and my bow are at two pips), help from God and two levels in Healing. 

 

What do I need to know before I go deeper?

Really the bosses shouldn't be too bad.  The levels are the hard part.
