Ok, I only recently started getting sucked back into this game since it's initial release, so I must be running across a buncha new stuff now. What is up with the shadows that start showing up? I can't seem to attack them with melee weapons, and they get like 4 turns in a row on me when I do get to damage them! They also seem to fight the other monsters.

Are you using a quadbone? Those summon uncontrollable shadow minions sometimes.

Yup! I used one for the first time in that playthrough! Thank you, cuz it was driving me crazy because I never saw those shadows except for that 1 game. lol
